Which is why each bag is slightly unique: small differences in texture, shape and stitch placement are a natural part of handwork.

Crocheted on Bali
Beastie began with one obsession — the sound of raffia moving.
Every Rimba is crocheted by hand by an artisan in Bali. We work in small batches with a handful of makers, paid fairly and by the piece, so nobody has to rush the weave.
The material is 100% viscose raffia — a plant-cellulose fibre made from renewable wood pulp. It is light, strong, pleasant to touch and holds its shape beautifully, a gentler alternative to synthetic fibres.
We keep the small irregularities. They are the maker's signature, and the reason your Beastie is like no other.

Payment
Checkout is secured by our payment provider. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer in IDR. Your card details never touch our servers.
Packaging
Each Rimba travels in a woven raffia pouch with a hand-stamped tag, wrapped in unbleached tissue and tied with a braided cord — ready to give, exactly as it arrives.
